Man from Layyah abducted by bandits from Sindh Katcha

MUZAFFARGAHR: A young man from Layyah has been kidnapped by bandits from Katcha area of ​​Sindh who are demanding a ransom of Rs 30 million from his family.

Iftikhar Kalasra, a resident of Basti Shah Habib in Layyah district, was abducted when gangs trapped him by offering cheap seeds in Sindh.

A video has gone viral on social media showing Iftikhar screaming for help while being chained.

The family, who are of modest means, have appealed to the police chief to rescue Iftikhar as they cannot afford the hefty ransom. They demanded that the government help in Iftikhar’s recovery.

This kidnapping is the third incident in the past week in Layyah district.

Police report that charges have been filed against the unknown perpetrators.

MEETING: A hardened criminal was injured during a police operation at Karor Lal Eesan police station on Saturday.

Ismatullah, who was wanted for more than 45 serious crimes, was wounded by his own accomplices during the gunfight.

According to a police spokesman, the confrontation started when police tried to stop suspected motorcyclists at a roadblock, after which the robbers opened fire. In the ensuing shootout, Ismatullah was seriously wounded by bullets fired by his gang members.

His accomplices, Abdul Rahman, Manoor Ali and Dilawar Hussain, managed to escape.

Ismatullah was shifted to Karor lal Essan Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for medical treatment. He is associated with several inter-district gangs including Doda and Kashmira gangs and was wanted for multiple thefts, robberies and other serious crimes.

Police have seized a motorcycle and a pistol from the crime scene and are currently conducting raids to arrest the fugitive suspects.
