As the state heads towards state assembly elections, a major conflict is brewing within the Mahayuti coalition. According to Nana Patole, president of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee, there is speculation of major unrest next month.

Furthermore, Patole criticized the BJP and the Prime Minister for their insensitivity, noting that despite the recent deaths of Jalgaon residents in an accident in Nepal, the Prime Minister’s visit to Jalgaon is going ahead as planned. He argued that it would have been a show of humanity to cancel the event, and accused the government of neglecting the situation.

In Maharashtra, the state government led by the Mahayuti coalition did not come to power through popular vote but through the blessings of Gujarat, Patole said. He criticized the government for putting the interests of Gujarat before the welfare of Maharashtra people and accused the government of plundering Maharashtra to benefit Gujarat. He warned that if the government does not stop this exploitation and focus on public welfare, its fate could resemble that of leaders in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Patole inaugurated the new public relations office of the Mumbai Congress and was welcomed with a huge motorcycle rally organised by the Youth Congress.

At a subsequent rally organised by the Youth Congress, Patole, along with former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and other prominent Congress leaders, condemned the state administration for providing high-level security to criminals and turncoats while neglecting the safety of ordinary citizens. He highlighted recent incidents of violence against women and criticised the government for remaining indifferent to these issues.

Patole also criticized the so-called “architects” of Navi Mumbai for exploiting natural resources and creating mafias, who are now involved in politics with government support. He noted the recent deaths from dengue in Navi Mumbai and the failing public health system.

Meanwhile, Patole promised that a Congress government would build the country’s most advanced hospital in Navi Mumbai and urged party members to unite for the upcoming elections. He stressed that the next mayor of Navi Mumbai should be a Congressman.
