California man Erick Mayorga faces 38 criminal charges | Local News

A California man is facing 38 criminal charges following an investigation into online conduct by the Brain injury surrendered to authorities at the Van Buren County Jail on Sunday.

According to a TBI press release, 41-year-old Erick Mayorga of Montebello, California was indicted in January on the following charges:

• 25 charges of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor
• 11 charges of sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means
• 2 counts of unlawful exposure

In November 2022, TBI agents joined the Spencer Police Department to investigate an individual who was soliciting sexually explicit photos of minors online.

Mayorga is being held on $75,000 bail.
