Citizens can get their cards approved online by LDA: CM – Pakistan

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Monday said citizens can get their residential plans approved by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) online from the comfort of their homes.

She praised the LDA for initiating online approval of residential building plans, for which citizens can apply through the LDA mobile app or by visiting the LDA website. She added that citizens need not go to the LDA office and wait in long queues to get their residential building plans approved. “Application for map approval, map upload, processing and challan will all be online. Moreover, the correction in case of any objection will also be uploaded while the approved map can be downloaded,” she added.

The Prime Minister said that digital reforms in the LDA are progressing at a rapid pace and institutions across Punjab are being digitised in a modern way to break the file culture in government departments.

She stressed that the IT reforms will free citizens from mafia and corruption. She also indicated that the Dastak pilot project is showing excellent results and its scope will be gradually expanded.
