Criminal alien gangs move into suburbs near Sanctuary City

After crossing the U.S. southern border, violent Venezuelan gang members have flocked to the sanctuary city of Denver, where they can commit crimes without fear of deportation. Fox News’ Christina Coulter reports that the Tren de Argua gang is now moving to suburbs that don’t share Denver’s sanctuary city policy. Aurora, Colorado, which is nine miles from Denver, has entire apartment complexes that are now controlled by the gang:

“We have entire complexes under gang control right now — complexes where staff has been beaten up, they’ve been threatened, their families have been threatened (and) complexes where there are no staff left on the premises,” said Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky. “These complexes are run by this Tren de Aragua gang.

“They start brokering apartments themselves when someone leaves out of fear or something. They go in and take pictures of the apartment themselves. Then, I’m told, within a few hours a Venezuelan family moves in.”

Members of the Tren de Argua gang have been arrested for the attempted rape and murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley and for the shooting of two New York Police Department officers earlier this year.

An estimated 40,000 illegal immigrants have migrated to Denver since 2022, and local officials say Aurora has become the gang’s home base in Colorado. With increased crime and pressure on local budgets to provide services to the illegals, five Colorado counties have sued the state, arguing that the Denver Sanctuary City law violates the state constitution, which protects local governments’ ability to cooperate with federal agencies.

In the wake of Denver Mayor Michael Hancock’s assertion that citizens must agree to “shared sacrifices” to make the city “hospitable to migrants,” Douglas County Commissioner Abe Laydon said, “We have been made aware of the absolute increase in property crime, assault and human trafficking, and the specific problems with the cartels coming out of Venezuela.”

The crime caused by President Biden’s open border policies has moved to the suburbs. Will the “suburban moms” who voted for him in 2020 vote the same way this year?
