9th ASEAN Plus Japan Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime Consultation takes place in Vientiane, Lao PDR

ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kim Kao Hourn today joined ministers from ASEAN and Japan in the 9^and ASEAN Plus Japan Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC + Japan) Consultation. Timor-Leste attended as an observer. Co-chaired by Singapore and Japan, the consultation exchanged views on issues of mutual concern and discussed areas of mutual interest to promote ASEAN-Japan cooperation in combating transnational crime in support of the effective implementation of the SOMTC – Japan Work Plan for Cooperation in Combating Transnational Crime (2023 – 2027).
