Josh Alexander would love to have a match with Ethan Page at the ‘Worlds Collide’ event

Josh Alexander would love to wrestle Ethan Page in a potential crossover show.

The former TNA World Champion has a long history with the current NXT Champion. The duo famously teamed up as “The North” in TNA. They were one of the best modern tag teams in the business, but parted ways when Ethan Page joined AEW in 2021.

Josh Alexander discussed Ethan Page’s recent success on the Johnny I Pro Show (thanks to Fightful for the transcription).

He called Page’s success in NXT tremendous and lamented that his AEW run didn’t go as planned.

“Super excited because I always knew it was possible. We called ourselves Monster Mafia. But we were both single stars in different big independent promotions. We were both champions in AIW, AAW, stuff like that. We were kind of neck and neck, but two completely different wrestlers. I think that’s why we complemented each other so well when we came together as a tag team. But I always knew it was possible.”

“It’s just, in wrestling, when do you get your chance? It may never come. You just have to be ready when it comes. AEW, it obviously didn’t work out the way he wanted, but he shows up in NXT and boom, in six weeks, eight weeks, he’s NXT Champion. It’s awesome to see. I like seeing good things happen to good people,” Alexander said.

Josh Alexander added that a bout with Ethan Page would be perfect for a potential “Worlds Collide” show featuring WWE and TNA talent.

“Oh absolutely. Like I said, the heart and soul of TNA, the standard of TNA, I’m going to represent TNA all day long. If they want to do a Worlds Collide, TNA versus WWE, I don’t think there’s a better match than me going out there, kicking his ass and taking that NXT Championship,” he said.
