Colorado Revised Statutes Section 18-3-405.4 (2023)

  • (1) A performer commits sexual exploitation of a child via the Internet if the performer knowingly and intentionally harasses, invites or entices, by means of communication over a computer network or system, telephone network or data network or by means of a text message or instant message, a person whom the performer knows or suspects to be under the age of fifteen and at least four years younger than the performer, in order to:
    • (A) Exposing or touching the intimate parts of oneself or another person while communicating with the actor through a computer network or system, telephone network or data network or through a text message or instant message; or
    • (B) View the actor’s intimate parts through a computer network or system, telephone network or data network, or through a text message or instant message.

  • (3) Sexual exploitation of a child via the Internet is a fourth-degree crime.
