Kinondena ng Gabriela Women’s Party and pagkalat ng malisyosong deepfake photo at video ng P-Pop girl group at BINI.

“These horrific acts of online violence against women, shared in Telegram chat groups and on social media, remind us of the pervasive threats young women face in the digital age, which go unchecked in virtual spaces,” said sabi ni, representative Sarah Elago.

“The rise of mobile applications that can generate hyper-realistic simulations based on real photos poses a serious threat to privacy and security,” Elago said.

Many people believe that the abuse of gender-based violence (GBV) makes it possible to promote artificial intelligence in the creation of technology.

“We stand in solidarity with BINI and all those who have been victims of such acts. As the only women’s party in Congress, we pledge to push for an overhaul, as well as the creation of legislation that effectively addresses these technological abuses and ensures justice for all victims of online sexual exploitation and abuse,” Elago said.
