Case against suspected members of the construction mafia postponed until Monday

CAMPERDOWN – Five alleged members of the construction mafia appeared in Camperdown Magistrates Court in KwaZulu-Natal.

The case has been adjourned until Monday.

They were arrested last month for allegedly disrupting the construction of a bridge in uMsunduzi.

They are accused of extortion and are expected to file a bail application.

Extortionists are disrupting projects in KwaZulu-Natal, demanding either a share in the projects or protection costs.
