Yogi Adityanath news | ‘2017 se pahle chacha-bhatje ne…’: Uttar Pradesh CM compares Akhilesh-Shivpal Yadav to killer wolves of Bahraich

Lucknow: Days after his ”batenge to katenge” (be united or you will be slaughtered) remarks against Hindus, citing violence in Bangladesh as an example, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said his government was committed to protecting women in the state and taking strict action against perpetrators.

Adityanath also compared Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle and party leader Shivpal Singh Yadav to the ”murderous wolves” who created panic in Uttar Pradesh’s Baharaich district.

”Betiyon ki suraksha ke liye ham pratibadh hain….betiyon ko chune walon ke haath pair alag kar diye jaynege” (we are committed to ensuring the safety of our daughters…hands and legs of the offenders against them will be severed), Adityanath said while addressing a public gathering in Prayagraj.

Apparently referring to the move against mafiosi who have profiled themselves as politicians, Ateeq Ahmed, Mukhtar Ansari and some others, the Prime Minister said his government would “eradicate” the mafia if they tried to raise their heads in the state.

He also attacked Akhilesh and Shivpal. “jis terah aajkal adamkhor bhedie utpat machaye hain, waise hallo 2017 se pahle chacha-bhatje ne utpat machaya tha” (the cousin-uncle duo had created the same chaos and panic in the state as the killer wolves are doing today),” he said.

Adityanath, whose government has been heavily criticised for using bulldozers to demolish the houses of alleged criminals, said one needs a ‘heart’ (courage) like a bulldozer to use them. ”Those who bow to the mafias cannot use bulldozers,” he said in an apparent reply to Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav’s criticism over the ‘indiscriminate’ use of bulldozers in the state.

Akhilesh had said that bulldozers were controlled by steering wheels and not by brains. And that the people of the state would replace the steering wheels very soon. ”The bulldozers will be sent to Gorakhpur (Adityanath’s hometown) if there is an SP government in the state,” Akhilesh had said.

Akhilesh on Wednesday also targeted Adityanath for his remarks that ”criminality is in the DNA” of the SP. ”Adityanath will not be able to pronounce the full form of DNA… it would have been better if he had done some studies on it… anyway, he would not have been able to pronounce the full form of DNA even if he had known,” Akhilesh said in a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter).

Just a few days ago, Adityanath had appealed to Hindus to remain united, otherwise they too would face a situation similar to that in Bangladesh, where Hindus were targeted in the recent violence.

”Bangladesh ki halat dekh rahen hain na….ek rahenge to nek rahenge….batenge to katenge” (You must have seen the situation in Bangladesh…if you are united, you are safe…if you are divided, you will be slaughtered), the saffron-clad Prime Minister had said.
