Man Arrested for Child Sexual Exploitation Faces New Additional Charges | News

A man accused of child exploitation now faces a host of other child sex charges.

20-year-old Jake Emami was originally arrested in December 2023 following an investigation at Incline High School.

According to a booking form from the Washoe County Jail, he now faces nine new, related charges, including child abuse, child molestation and sexual enticement.

DECEMBER 15, 2023:

Following an investigation at Incline High School, a suspect has been arrested on suspicion of child exploitation.

Jake Emami, 20, was arrested on multiple charges, including two counts of solicitation of a child for prostitution, two counts of attempting to use a child 14 or older as the subject of a sexual performance or act, three counts of child abuse for sexual exploitation and sexual enticement by a person under 21.

On Dec. 11, deputies with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, working as school resource officers, began an investigation into Emami based on information from school administrators, according to a post on the WCSO Facebook page.

“I am beyond proud of the tremendous work our Incline High School officers did on this case,” said Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam. “I encourage anyone with information about this case to contact our regional Human Exploitation and Trafficking unit.”
