MARQUETTE — Nigerian brothers Samuel Ogoshi, 22, and Samson Ogoshi, 20, were sentenced to 17.5 years in prison for their roles in the sexual exploitation and death of 17-year-old Jordan DeMay in 2022.

Jordan committed suicide after becoming the victim of an online sextortion operation.

Samson Ogoshi was charged with conspiracy to sexually exploit minors, conspiracy to distribute child pornography and conspiracy to commit internet stalking.

Samuel Ogoshi was accused of the same as his brother, in addition to sexual exploitation and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor resulting in death.

Both brothers pleaded guilty only to the second charge: conspiracy to sexually exploit minors. In addition, both personally apologized and expressed remorse to Jordan’s loved ones, their own families, and their communities.
