Bill Maher delivers a much-needed message to Democrats

Maher railed against what he sees as a disturbing trend of “mafia tactics” among liberals on Friday night: ruthlessly attacking their own kind if they don’t conform to the party’s whims.

The latest example is the relentless online attacks on Cheryl Hinesthe wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., after he made the bold decision to withdraw from the presidential race and endorse Donald Trump.

Maher described Kennedy’s wife as “the only person in Hollywood who doesn’t have a single enemy.”Well now she doeshe complained, “because she didn’t throw her husband under the bus when her husband made a decision about something she clearly didn’t agree with. But that didn’t satisfy the annoying posers on the aforementioned far left page.”

Maher said thousands of tweets were screaming at Cheryl with not-so-nice things like, “How are you living with yourself?” “Do better.” “I can’t even enjoy the episodes of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ you’re in anymore.”

But the most infamous tweet came from actor Bradley Whitford, who publicly made this disgusting statement:

“Hey, Cheryl Hines, what a way to stay quiet while your insane husband supports you.” the convicted rapist who brags about depriving women of their fundamental rights. Brave. Great example for the children. Profile in courage.”

To which Maher replied, “Yeah, well, you know what I don’t think is audacious? Explaining to a woman, but not to her face, of course, how she should sacrifice her marriage.”

Extending his message to the entire left, Maher said: You want to know why I hate the left more than I used to? It’s shit like this. There’s an ugliness that they never used to have. The liberals I grew up with aren’t like that. They go after their wives. Even the mafia doesn’t do that.”

“There are many people today that I call liberals in theory. In theory, they hate bullying. Terribly. In practice, their attitude is, ‘It’s not bullying if I stick your head in the toilet,'” Maher mocked.

“In theory, liberals are sympathetic. In practice, this man (Whitford) cannot even understand one of the most basic dilemmas common to all human beings: that sometimes, when you are married, (putting up with) shit.”
