What you will do:

As a Computer Network Operator, you will work with a flexible, fast-paced team focused on getting things done, addressing the nation’s highest priority intelligence challenges by applying your creativity and technical and operational mastery of the cyber domain. In this role, you will perform malware analysis and reverse engineering in support of incident response, investigative analysis, and research into existing and emerging cyber threats. You will support incidents and investigations that require you to “think like an adversary” as both an external actor and an insider risk. More about the role:

  • You will work on-site at the customer’s premises and perform advanced cyber-related work with small, dynamic technical teams.

  • You will use open source tools such as Metasploit, BurpSuite, nmap and Wireshark, as well as proprietary tools to perform red teaming and penetration testing on the customer’s global network.

  • You perform reverse engineering on network layouts using data collected from the network itself to identify misconfigurations and map out where different devices connect, communicate, and what devices look like to contribute to the customer’s technical objective.

  • You develop technical requirements for new tools or improvements to existing tools and become the ‘champion’ of the tools throughout the entire tool lifecycle.

  • You will document all work performed on behalf of the customer on a daily basis, commenting on what tools were used and what equipment was identified and used.

  • You proactively identify, define and advocate technical processes, approaches and concepts to improve exploitation efforts

  • You will write and produce high quality technical reports that address the scope, nature and characteristics of the client’s technical objective and that are suitable for distribution to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • You will analyze software, firmware, and hardware using various reverse engineering techniques to understand potential security vulnerabilities and potential misconfigurations, working closely with teammates who value innovation and execution

  • You perform in-depth analyses (dynamic/static) on malicious software platforms to provide actionable information; if necessary, you make remediation recommendations.

  • You analyze, disassemble and reverse engineer malicious code; you document and translate the results into reports, presentations and technical exchanges

You bring the following qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with required polygraph statement

  • 7+ years of relevant experience

  • Worked with Ansible, Puppet or Chef to automate deployment of server software packages

  • Experience with programming languages ​​such as Python, Shell, Assembly, C/C++

  • Familiar with embedded Internet of Things systems, the protocols they use for sensing and communication, and the dangers they can pose

  • Understand the concepts behind software defined radios (SDR) and how to capture and modify RF communications

  • Ability to combine components into a functioning multi-layer network of heterogeneous devices and applications

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system and/or U*NIX

  • Working knowledge base Management and application development with Oracle, PostresSQL, SQL Server and/or MySQL

These qualifications would be nice to have:

  • Advanced GIAC and/or (ISC)2 network/cybersecurity specialisms

  • Knowledge of 802.11, Bluetooth and LTE protocols and technologies

  • Experience with wired telephony technology (hardware or core software)

  • Knowledge of mobile telephony technology (hardware or core software)

  • Experience with ubiquitous core network device technology (switch/router/hub) (hardware or core software)

The suggested salary range for this position is:
