Venezuelan Gang Crime on the Rise in Wisconsin

A suspected member of the Venezuelan gang Aragua trailAlejandro Jose Coronel Zarate was arrested in Wisconsin on multiple charges, including second-degree assault, domestic violence and cruelty to a child.

Prairie du Chien police responded to reports of violent behavior by Zarate toward an adult female.

“A minor girl was also found, who was injured during the physical fight that took place,” police said.

The gang, Aragua trailis notorious for various criminal activities, including murder, extortion, and human trafficking. Zarate is currently being held in the Crawford County Jail.
