International gang of human traffickers busted in joint operation

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) busted an international gang of human traffickers in a joint operation with intelligence services on Sunday. False documents were also recovered.

During the operation carried out on the orders of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the gangsters involved in the theft of millions of rupees from common people on the pretext of sending them abroad for special jobs were arrested.

The prisoners were specialized in producing false documents and the trafficking gang’s printing press was used to produce false documents for many countries. The arrested traffickers also admitted to having links with international gangs, and Indian and Afghan nationals were also involved in criminal activities.

The investigation also exposed the Indian conspiracy to discredit Pakistan.

Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi expressed his appreciation for the great success of the Intelligence Agency and FIA Lahore in the fight against human trafficking and termed the successful action against human trafficking as a milestone.—INP
