White County Man Arrested for Child Abuse and Sexual Abuse

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested a White County man on suspicion of child abuse and sexual exploitation Sunday after a search of his home.

The GBI said Their Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit launched an investigation into Christopher Tench, 32, after receiving a tip from the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office about possible possession and production of child abuse material online.

On September 8, a search of Tench’s home was conducted by DCSO, the White County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.

Tench was charged with four counts of child abuse and six counts of child sexual exploitation.
