White County Man Arrested on Child Abuse and Sexual Exploitation Charges

(Cleveland) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested a White County man on suspicion of child abuse and sexual exploitation Sunday after a search of his home.

According to the GBI, the Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit launched an investigation into 32-year-old Christopher Tench after receiving a tip from the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office about the possible possession and production of child abuse material online.

A search of Tench’s home was conducted Sunday by the GBI, the White County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.

Tench was charged with four counts of child molestation and six counts of child sexual exploitation and was booked into the White County Jail.
