Pasadena man pleads guilty to sexual exploitation of minors

A man has pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a minor and to committing a crime involving a minor by a registered sex offender, the Department of Justice said in a press release.

Gary Hammond Jackson, 32, of Pasadena Maryland, sexually abused a minor who was reportedly 6 years old in 2020. He then took photos of the abuse with his cell phone, the report said.

Jackson pleaded guilty and was convicted of fourth-degree sexual offense, second-degree assault, and was required to register as a sex offender in 2020.

In 2022, Jackson took photographs of the abuse of a second victim, who was 3 years old at the time, and had more than 1,500 files of child pornography.

According to the Justice Department, Jackson faces a mandatory 10-year prison sentence, with a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in federal prison.
