Central Asia and China step up fight against transnational crime –

Central Asia and China intensify the fight against transnational crime. The first meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs and Public Security in Central Asia — China format was held in Lianyungang (PRC).

The event was attended by the heads of law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China.

Discussions focused on current issues of cooperation in the field of public security and the exchange of experiences in combating modern challenges and threats, such as cross-border crime, extremism, drug trafficking, cybercrime and human trafficking.

The heads of state of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the participating countries reported on the measures taken to combat crime and expressed their readiness for further interdepartmental interaction and deepening cooperation in the field of public security.
