Trump vows to quickly deport migrants from Springfield – DNyuz

Donald Trump has vowed to quickly deport migrants from Springfield, Ohio, the city at the center of controversy over claims that Haitians eat pets.

The Republican candidate said Springfield and Aurora, Colorado, which he said have been overrun by criminal gangs, would be at the top of the list for deportations.

The plans would be part of the largest mass deportation in the country’s history, he told reporters at his golf club in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

The former president has shown no sign of condoning his claims that migrants were eating pets in Springfield, despite accusations that his claims had sparked violence in the city.

He repeated his claim that the migrants were causing havoc.

“In Springfield, Ohio, 20,000 illegal immigrants have descended on a city of 58,000,” he said.

“They destroyed the place and people don’t like to talk about it because even the city doesn’t want to talk about it because it sounds so bad for the city,” he added.

“We’re going to do major deportations from Springfield, Ohio, major deportations. We’re going to get these people out. We’re going to bring them back to Venezuela.”

It is unclear why Trump mentioned Venezuela, when the migrants in Springfield are from Haiti.

Trump said he hopes to visit both cities during the campaign.

After his bruising debate with Kamala Harris, Trump took aim at her record as California’s attorney general, accusing her of being lenient toward illegal immigrants accused of serious crimes.

“As attorney general, she defined child sex trafficking, assault with a deadly weapon, and rape of an unconscious person as non-violent crimes.

“She put them in a new category as non-violent. Now, as vice president, she has facilitated the largest wave of sex trafficking and human trafficking in the history, by far the history of our country,” he added.

“When Comrade Kamala Harris was Attorney General of this state, murders went up significantly. Car thefts went through the roof. Gun attacks went up to unprecedented levels and forcible rapes went up over 73 percent,” he added.

“In 2020, Kamala Harris proudly supported defunding the police,” he said.

“Anyone who advocates dismantling the police for even one month, let alone their entire career, should never be president of the United States.”

Trump also focused heavily on immigration, an issue where he continues to outpace his opponents in the polls, linking it to a wave of serious crime in the US.

“Not only is Comrade Kamala letting illegal aliens storm our border, but then about a year ago it was announced that they were actually going to fly them in. No one knew that they were secretly flying in hundreds of thousands of people, some of the worst murderers and terrorists you have ever seen,” he alleged.

“A president has a duty to keep you safe. Kamala will turn America into a poor, violent third world refugee camp. It’s already kind of like we have an election that’s a mess, and we have a border that’s the worst of any border in the world.”
