The “Bills Mafia” has already donated over $16,000 to Tua Tagovailoa’s foundation

Bills Mafia is coming – as always.

Buffalo fans may fit the stereotype of table-breakers, volunteer snow shovelers, and ketchup/mustard shower takers (look it up), but they could also be described as charitable. Whenever the Bills fan base can come together to raise money for a good cause, they have – and they’ve been busy breaking out the checkbooks since Buffalo’s recent game against the Miami Dolphins.

It was in that game that Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa suffered from what probably his third concussion in a matter of a few years. He left the game and was almost immediately banned after suffering a terrifying blow, and there have been questions and rumors about Tua’s Future in the NFL have been circulating online.

Obviously, no one wants to see Tagovailoa give up the game. He’s one of the most productive passers in the league and he can throw the deep ball as well as anyone. Tua is a really exciting and outstanding player. But from what everyone is saying, he’s an even more impressive human being. out the football field, and Buffalo Bills fans seem to understand that very well.

After Tua was out and the Bills defeated the Dolphins 31-10, it would have been easy for the Bills Mafia to celebrate their victory and move on. Instead, they rallied, tracked down Tagovailoa’s foundation – The Tua Foundation – and have donated more than $16,000 to the cause.

That is truly world-class sportsmanship from the Buffalo Bills fans.

As you’ll see if you scroll through ESPN’s post above, the Bills Mafia has a history of donating large sums of money when the time calls for it. When Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb suffered a gruesome leg injury last season, Bills fans stepped up and flooded Chubb’s foundation with donations. In 2017, when Andy Dalton and the Bengals won a regular-season game that ultimately sent the Bills to the playoffs, the Bills Mafia donated more than $400,000 to Dalton’s foundation.

And back in 2022, when Tua suffered his second concussion of the season, the Bills fan base stepped up and donated big time. They may be the breaking tables over in Buffalo, but they’re also not afraid to break open their wallets to give to others.

Never change Bills fans, never change.
