Pressure Drop Brewing Announces Closure of Elmwood Pub

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Pressure Drop Brewing will close its Elmwood Avenue pub at the end of September, the company announced in a social media post Friday.

The post stated that the last day would be September 29th and that Pressure Drop beer would still be available at local merchants, bars and restaurants after that day.

“To our guests and friends: It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that we announce the closing of our pub on Elmwood Ave at the end of September,” Pressure Drop said in the post. “We are grateful for the community that has made our pub a special place to come together, have a great meal, and of course, enjoy a beer or three.”

Pressure Drop originally launched in 2017, with the pub opening in March 2022 on the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Grote Street.

The closure follows the announcement in July 2023 that the company would put itself up for sale, offering its operations, equipment and furnishings at both the Vandalia Street brewery and the Elmwood Avenue pub.
