Orange City man, 24, accused of fatally stabbing grandmother after verbal altercation

An Orange City man was charged Friday with murder in the death of his grandmother, court documents show.

Court documents show Kiyoshi Fiore, 24, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.

Police said they responded to a report of a stabbing at a home in the Orange City Flats retirement community at 11:16 a.m. Arriving officers were able to arrest Fiore.

According to police, Fiore had a verbal altercation with his grandmother. During the altercation, he pulled out a knife and stabbed her.

The injured woman was taken to HCA Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford for emergency care, police said.

Court documents viewed on Sunday show the victim died from her injuries.

Fiore was immediately arrested Friday after Orange City police said they were cooperating with the state’s attorney’s office on the felony charges.
