MPNI and the British Council have signed an agreement to strengthen collaboration in education

The Department for Education, Science and Innovation (MPNI) and the British Council have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to further strengthen collaboration in the field of education.

As announced by the MPNI, the memorandum was signed by Minister Anđela Jakšić Stojanović and British Council Director Claire Sears.

“The memorandum focuses on several key areas, including improving English language teaching, continuing professional development of teachers and promoting international qualifications such as the IELTS and Cambridge English exams,” the statement said.

In addition, the collaboration aims to develop non-formal education programs that empower young leaders, support vulnerable groups and raise awareness of important societal issues such as climate change, digital literacy and youth resilience.

“This partnership initiative will contribute to the long-term improvement of Montenegro’s education system by supporting both formal and informal educational opportunities for students, teachers and young leaders,” MPNI said.
