Bengal Guv to be probed by CBI into alleged medical exam scam

Kolkata, Sep 16 (UNI) West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose has requested Chief Secretary Manoj Pant to initiate a CBI inquiry into the alleged “exam fraud” and “mafia ring” at the state-run North Bengal Medical College & Hospital.

In a communiqué dated September 13, the Raj Bhavan secretariat requested Pant to look into the matter and take necessary action, communicating to Raj Bhavan in response to a memorandum from Raju Bista, member of the Lok Sabha for Darjeeling constituency.

Bista on September 10 called for the Governor’s intervention in the case of ongoing agitation by medical students at the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.

Bista alleged in a message from X that the young doctors of NBMCH have exposed “how leaders linked to TMC are running a medical mafia within the institution.”

He requested a CBI inquiry to unmask the medical mafia running the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital and to dismiss the director of NBMCH to ensure a free and fair investigation into these serious allegations made by the medical students. UNI PC SSP
