Steelers hold off Moose Jaw Mafia for first win of the season – SwiftCurrentOnline.com

The Swift Current 14U Southwest Sports Excellence Steelers earned their first win of the season on Saturday in Moose Jaw.

Jax Brown scored an eight-yard touchdown and threw a 45-yard touchdown to Liam Holliday, leading Swift Current past the Moose Jaw Mafia 14-6.

The Steelers won the turnover battle 5-0, with Emmerson Werk, Josh Woods and Talon Moen forcing fumbles, Colter Telke recording an interception and Liam Jacobson getting a punt back.

Local sportscasts on Country 94.1 will show the Steelers next game, this Saturday at 1 p.m., when they host the Weyburn Falcons.
