Why do you think you are the best candidate for this position?

My priorities are to serve honestly as a public servant. I have served our community with honor and dignity for over 30 years. I believe I am the best candidate. The position requires a leader who has proven experience serving the public and is willing to lead with integrity.

What do you think are the biggest challenges for this district?

Our district faces many public safety challenges that threaten our health. I will address these concerns with results-based solutions that meet the needs and expectations of our community. These include gun safety programs, proactive flood prevention plans, and increased protection for chemical plants to prevent environmental disasters.

What would be your top priorities if you were elected?

If elected, my top priorities will be working persuasively in committees and bringing appropriations to our district that address the concerns I mentioned earlier. I will work in a bipartisan manner on the Energy and Commerce Committee, crafting legislation that prevents power outages while also encouraging innovation in the energy sector in electricity generation.

Why do you think you are the best candidate for this position?

Since my election to represent Texas’ 2nd District in 2018, I have fought for this district on the issues that matter most. I have passed legislation to reduce flood risk and improve our preparedness, secure the southern border, and protect the oil and gas industry.

What do you think are the biggest challenges for this district?

Flooding is the most pressing local issue facing our district, which is why I have secured significant funding for flood mitigation projects in our district. Texas is being hit hard by the (Joe) Biden-(Kamala) Harris border crisis, which is why I have passed legislation to secure the southern border and combat the Mexican drug cartels.

What would be your top priorities if you were elected?

My priorities remain the same as when I took office: preparing for future flooding and mitigating flood disasters, securing the southern border, protecting Texas’ oil and gas industry, defending America’s national security, and lowering the cost of living for Texans in the 2nd District.
