Background of the assignment

The vocational training program for maintenance, installation and creation of solar systems and panels is aimed at providing participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in the renewable energy sector. The training program is essential to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the maintenance and installation of solar systems.

Scope of work:

The trainer is responsible for:

  • Developing a comprehensive course program on maintenance and installation techniques for solar systems and panels.
  • Providing interactive training sessions with both theoretical knowledge and practical demonstrations.
  • Providing practical support to participants during practical training exercises.
  • Collaborate with program management to incorporate feedback and improve the curriculum as needed.

The training aims to achieve the following objectives:

The main objectives of this course are:

  • Introduce participants to the principles and components of solar energy systems.
  • Develop participants’ skills in maintaining, installing and designing solar panels and associated equipment.
  • Prepare participants for entry-level positions in the renewable energy sector.
  • Increase participants’ understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to working with solar energy systems.

Key results:

The trainer will provide the following:

  • A detailed course program with lesson plans, exercises and learning materials.
  • Training sessions covering theoretical concepts and practical demonstrations.
  • Training reports that record participant progress and feedback.

LOCATION:

The training will be conducted at a training center in Azaz City.

TIME FRAME

This is a short term assignment for individual trainers for two months (with possibility of extension). Mentoring and coaching:

01/October/2024 to 30/November/2024.

The trainer is expected to provide the necessary support, guidance and coaching to the trainees (who have previously attended the training) by: field visits (on location). The trainer is expected to provide a training report for this phase.

It is possible to adjust the mentioned timeline depending on the circumstances of the project implementation.

SKILLS/COMPETENCES:

The trainer must have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant academic certificate in renewable energy or At least five years of experience in the maintenance and installation of solar energy systems and panels.
  • Experience in teaching or training, preferably in vocational education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to working with solar energy systems.
