Rome man sentenced to 20 years in prison after being found with material showing child’s sexual activity

Matthew Wayne Cronan, 29, of Rome, was sentenced this week to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges of possession of child pornography.

In addition to his 20-year prison sentence, he was given 20 years of probation.

During a three-day investigation into child pornography earlier this year, researchers found more than 15.3 terabytes of data.

Cronan is accused of sexual exploitation of children.
