Fired anti-Chinese English teacher convicted as arsonist!

I have discovered the identity of an alcoholic British man who drunkenly told a young Chinese boy he was teaching English online that Taiwan is not part of China, and then flipped the boy’s mother the middle finger. The man has since been fired from LingoStar. BUT the story gets much more interesting!

It turns out the man is Paul John Farrell, and to say he has a colorful past would be an understatement. He’s a convicted felon in Taiwan, where he lived for about 15 years. He served time for trying to set fire to a Family Mart after the staff didn’t give him tomato sauce when he ordered a burger. He also got the word Taiwan tattooed on his forehead and the Taiwanese separatist flag tattooed on his chin during a drunken night out, which he says led to him being badly beaten by the Chinese mafia in Cambodia.

Despite all that, Paul moved to mainland China a few months ago, where, to his surprise, an English school in Nanjing gave him a job. He only left two weeks ago after being arrested for disorderly conduct at another drinking party, in which he tried to pick a fight with other patrons and shouted, “f*** Winnie the Pooh.”

Guys, if you haven’t already figured it out from his viral lesson video, Paul is an absolute loser.

Today I’m telling you ALL the hilarious details.

This is Reports on China, I’m Andy Boreham in Shanghai. Let’s report.
