St. David’s Parish Prepares for Grenada’s 50th Anniversary of Independence

If Grenada To celebrate its 50th anniversary of independence, the parish of St. David has planned a series of unique and exciting events that will run from October to early November.

The parish sees an opportunity to take pride in its own culture, community spirit and historical significance, and is taking up the national theme of “One people, one journey, one future“, which will certainly ensure that residents and visitors come together this year to celebrate together.

A month of celebration in St. David

The masses begin on Sunday, October 6 with an ecumenical service in St David RC Church at 3:00 p.m.

This religious gathering is expected to attract a large number of parishioners, bringing together people of different faiths for a shared reflection on the development Grenada has undergone over the past five decades.

The ecumenical service is the first in a series of people-oriented activities planned in St. David, which the organization hopes will create an atmosphere of appreciation and optimism for the further development of the country.

After the service, the focus will shift to an evening of recognition and achievement. On Friday, October 18, the Awards and Cocktail Event will take place at Westerhall Secondary School at 7:00 p.m.
