President Maduro presents evidence of US-led mercenary plot to United Nations

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro met with the local coordinator of the UN mission in Caracas, Gianluca Rampolla del Tindaro, and presented him with evidence of the mercenary-led coup plot that the United States is promoting against the Venezuelan government.

The meeting took place on Friday evening, September 20, at the Miraflores Palace and was attended by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil, who accompanied President Maduro.

During the meeting, President Maduro reaffirmed to the UN official that Venezuela is committed to continued dialogue and communication and to Bolivarian peace diplomacy.

The Venezuelan head of state also condemned the illegal, unilateral coercive measures imposed by the US, which violate international law and are considered crimes against humanity by international experts.

The Venezuelan president also condemned the coordinated attacks on Venezuela by far-right governments from around the world, stressing that Venezuela is a free and sovereign multi-ethnic country.

President Maduro informs UN Secretary General about mercenaries hired to invade Venezuela

In recent weeks, Venezuelan authorities have thwarted a series of destabilization attempts. The first was a series of violent actions by criminal gangs over the two days following the July 28 presidential elections. Later, Venezuelan intelligence agencies arrested foreign citizens, including a serving U.S. Navy Seal officer and others from Spain, the Czech Republic and the U.S., along with an arsenal of 400 war weapons that were to be used in a mercenary-led operation involving Venezuelan organized crime groups such as Aragua trail And The Llano Route.

More recently, on September 16, US-based mercenary boss Erik Prince publicly announced the beginning of a fundraising campaign to launch a mercenary operation to assassinate President Maduro and other political and social leaders of Venezuela. The plot, called Yes, Venezuela (We are almost there Venezuela) was conceived by the head of the mercenary gang Blackwater, together with far-right Venezuelan actors in the United States. It was an unprecedented public display of contempt for international law.
