Holly Ridge man arrested on child sexual exploitation charges

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Robert Cody West, a 28-year-old resident of Holly Ridge, was arrested on Friday, September 20, on suspicion of possessing child pornography.

In a city press release, Detective Brandi Thompson said authorities arrested West after receiving a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

West has been charged with 20 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of minors.

He was released on $100,000 bail.

West is expected in Onslow County District Court on Monday, September 23.
