Northern District of Oklahoma | Child Predator Convicted of Aggravated Sexual Abuse of Minor Under 12

TULSA, Okla. – U.S. District Judge Sara E. Hill sentenced Bryan Stanley Monholland, 59, of Tulsa, for aggravated sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 12 in Indian Country. Judge Hill sentenced Monholland to life in prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release. After his release, Monholland will also be required to register as a sex offender.

According to Monholland’s plea of ​​guilty and subsequent guilty plea, between July 2012 and March 2018, Monholland knowingly attempted to perform sexual acts on a minor victim who was not yet 12 years old.

According to court records, Monholland previously pleaded guilty to Lewd Molestation in 2004 and was required to register as a sex offender. He is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and will remain in custody pending transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

The FBI, Catoosa Police Department and Tulsa Police Department investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Valeria Luster, Stephanie Ihler and Christian Harris prosecuted the case.
