Blame yourself for not winning the NPP presidential election; not some systemic mafia – Ofosu Nkansah to Alan

The Director of the National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has called on Alan Kyerematen to take personal responsibility for his failure to win the party’s recent presidential primaries.

According to Nkansah, Kyerematen’s loss cannot be attributed to the so-called “systematic mafia” within the party, but to his own shortcomings during the campaign.

This follows Kyerematen’s comments in which he hinted at a possible internal conspiracy that was thwarting his presidential ambitions on the party’s candidate list.

Mr Nkansah, in a Facebook post, stressed that the NPP primaries were fair and that every candidate had an equal chance of winning the support of the delegates.

He argued that Kyerematen failed to achieve victory because he failed to build a strong base and connect with party members.

According to Nkansah, other candidates were able to successfully connect with delegates, which ultimately led to their better performance at the polls.

He also criticised Mr Kyerematen for trying to attribute his loss to external factors instead of thinking about his campaign strategy.

Mr Nkansah advised Mr Kyerematen to focus on introspection instead of shifting blame to non-existent forces within the party.

“Dear Chief Alan, you should blame yourself for not becoming the next NPP flag bearer after Prez Akufo-Addo because of the way you conducted your internal politics, not because of a systemic mafia or a bad record. If systemic support had resulted in an automatic victory, you would have won the 2007 NPP primaries,” he posted.
