Henry County man charged with posting images of women and children online

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Henry County man has been arrested after an investigation revealed he was connected to social media accounts that posted photos of women and children without their knowledge.

On Sunday, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office released a statement announcing it was aware of a message from a concerned citizen alerting the community to an Instagram account that was uploading photos of women and children accompanied by sexual comments.

The press release stated: “We are actively investigating the social media page and ask the public to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division if you have seen a photo of a minor with a comment on the post. We also ask that you do not share the original post.”

A few hours later, the sheriff’s office announced that Ronald Cummings had been arrested in connection with the account.

Cummings is accused of sexual exploitation of a minor. However, the sheriff’s office said, “This case is still an ongoing investigation and more charges are expected.”

He is being held in the Henry County Jail on $50,000 bail.
