Burundi offers to supply security guards to Haiti forces

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Burundi is prepared to provide personnel for an international force that will help Haiti tackle criminal gangs.

Kenya has already sent 400 police officers to help quell violence in the capital, Port-au-Prince. Other countries, including Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas and Jamaica, have indicated they could contribute to the multinational support mission.
