Since the raids on Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles, California, and Miami, Florida, the public has become increasingly curious about the sexual abuse and human trafficking charges filed against him.

Old clips have surfaced of celebrities partying with him, and now some are even delving into his extensive music catalog spanning decades.

According to the APDiddy and his long list of other names – such as Puff Daddy and P. Diddy – are streaming online.

Luminate, an industry data and analytics firm, reports that his streams increased 18.3% in the week of Sept. 13-19, roughly the same week he was arrested.

He was handcuffed in New York after his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said he had gone there in preparation for his arrest.

Although he was supposed to turn himself in, video footage shows him entering the Park Hyatt New York, where he is immediately approached in the lobby by two men with documents before being led away by four men. He is currently being held at Brooklyn’s notorious MDC and has since been denied bail twice because the judge believes his means make him a flight risk and also give him the ability to coerce witnesses. He has also reportedly been placed on suicide watch.

Despite the mounting number of allegations and accusations of sexual abuse, Agnifilio continues to maintain his client’s innocence and promises to defend him until he is acquitted of all charges.

“I think we made the points we wanted to make. I think he came out. Mr. Combs is a fighter. He’s going to see this through to the end. He’s innocent. He came to New York to prove his innocence,” Agnifilio said at a news conference after the bail denial. “He’s not afraid. He’s not afraid of the charges. There’s nothing the government said in their presentation today that changes anybody’s mind about anything.”

Diddy isn’t the first artist whose streams increased after running into legal trouble: R. Kelly’s stats skyrocketed.

According to Rolling StoneAfter his 2021 conviction for human trafficking, sexual exploitation, bribery and extortion – for which he is currently serving a 30-year sentence – his streams increased by a whopping 517% post-sentence.
