Pretrial detention extended for 24 GISBH persons, including the CEO

PETALING JAYA: The pre-trial detention of 24 people from the controversial Global Ikhwan Service and Business Holdings (GISBH) has been extended by four days.

The individuals form the top management of GISBH, including controversial CEO Nasiruddin Ali and his wife.

According to The Star, Judge Mohamad Redza Azhar Rezali and Judge Muhammad Syafiq Sulaiman extended the suspects’ pre-trial detention by four days until Saturday (September 28).

The 24 people, aged between 25 and 65, were initially held for seven days.

Meanwhile, four people allegedly linked to GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) have been remanded in custody for three days from today to assist with police investigations.

On September 11, police rescued 402 children and teenagers from 20 charities allegedly linked to GISBH in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, suspected of being victims of labour and sexual exploitation.

Police operations under the name Op Global uncovered cases of neglect and abuse, leading to the arrest of several individuals associated with GISBH.
