Kamala claims she has always been strict on border issues

She’s always been tough! Really? Why else would we suddenly find out that Kamala is planning to visit the border for the second time since she was appointed Border Czar?

Vice President Kamala Harris plans to visit the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday while in Arizona, a source familiar with the talks said, as Harris seeks to bridge the divide with former President Donald Trump over immigration.

The details of the visit — which CNN first reported campaign officials were considering on Monday — are still being worked out.

Harris previously visited the border in her capacity as vice president, citing her work as a U.S. senator and attorney general, where she represented a border state: California.

Except her last visit to the border involved a quick photo op and a word salad while standing in the airport. She never actually VISITED the border. And yes, her standard response to any question about the border these days is “and here I was as Attorney General…” Which is totally irrelevant to the situation NOW.

This is what Kamala should be talking about as she cajoles at the border on Friday. Children being trafficked by smugglers.

Border Patrol agents warn that children as young as 8 are being drugged and smuggled into the U.S. by traffickers posing as parents or relatives. No one knows how common this horrific practice is.

According to the Border Patrol, authorities have twice rescued children involved in such smuggling operations in recent weeks. In one case, the alleged traffickers had birth certificates for multiple children to whom they were not related.

Border Patrol sources told The Post they have seen an increasing number of smugglers posing as families to “recycle” children.

THAT is a very real issue that Kamala “Border Czar” Harris needs to be asked about during her border visit and every damn day.

Another question that needs to be asked and that needs a real answer concerns the very real Venezuelan gangs.

The brutal Venezuelan migrant gang Tren de Aragua lures desperate women deep into the heart of the United States, forcing them to sell their bodies on the streets of American cities to pay exorbitant smuggling fees, according to a newly leaked law enforcement document obtained by The Post.

Since the gang established itself in the U.S., there has been an explosion of migrant prostitution in at least eight states. The memo shows that authorities in Texas, Nevada, Illinois, California, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey and New York are now fighting to curb sex trafficking.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised for a second if the same thing happened in Aurora, CO. Not only that, there’s a hotel in El Paso that has major problems with that same violent gang.

Or maybe Kamala should be asked about the illegal immigrants the Biden-Harris administration has allowed into this country who target women and children, especially girls, yet are released without any consequences?

Bill Melugin has been working on the border case for nearly three years. Earlier yesterday, he outlined another issue that Kamala has carefully avoided addressing.

NEW: I asked VP Kamala Harris’ campaign whether she will keep the Biden administration’s controversial CBP One mobile app and the CHNV mass migrant flight release program if she wins the election.

The campaign gave me a statement that did not answer these questions. Instead, the campaign said it supports the bipartisan border bill and would sign it.

The bill would immediately end the use of the CBP One mobile app to release migrants into the U.S., but would leave in place the CHNV migrant flight conditions program.

Together, the two programs have allowed more than 1.3 million migrants to legally enter the U.S. since the Biden administration began them less than two years ago, in late 2022 and early 2023.

530,000 via CHNV migrant flights.

These numbers are also not included in the Border Patrol data, because they are not illegal border crossings and the Border Patrol never encounters them.

That wasn’t a response, that was a campaign statement.

But now she’s going to be super tough on the border? Everything she’s said at every campaign rally and the less than five interviews she’s done have only hinted at her so-called record as attorney general. It’s not as great as she wants us to believe.

People were dying and yet she, as Attorney General, refused to deport or even prosecute that illegal criminal.

Amazingly, besides Scott Jennings, there is at least one other person at CNN who does not believe her desperate attempt to claim that she is and has always been strict on the border.

Remember, while Kamala is trying to appease others at the border on Friday, she is losing children because she refuses to take responsibility.

As of May 2024, there were 291,000 unaccompanied migrant children who had been turned over to sponsors but never faced a court appearance, meaning federal authorities had lost contact with them.

According to the 14-page report, which covers the period from October 2018 to September 2023, an additional 32,000 children have been released into the U.S. but later failed to appear in court.

Whether Kamala likes it or not, Friday’s border visit will not take away the fact that SHE is responsible for the consequences of our non-existent border.
