In Chicago, a war is looming between gang members and immigrant gangs.

Chicago residents warn that rising tensions and violence between local gangs and newly arrived Venezuelan migrants, reportedly members of the notorious Tren de Aragua gang, will spark an out-of-control turf war. “When the black gangs here get tired of the illegality and criminal activities of these migrants or non-citizens, the city of Chicago will go up in flames and there will be nothing the National Guard or the government can do when the bloodshed takes place in the streets. It will be blacks versus migrants,” said Tyrone Muhammed, a former gang member.

Reporters have seen “police reports indicating sex trafficking, child pornography, drugs, carjackings, weapons and excessive domestic violence have occurred at four downtown shelters” in the sanctuary city. In a higher-profile incident earlier this month, police responded to an apartment building where 32 Venezuelans were reportedly brandishing weapons.

Since 2022, approximately 48,000 migrants have arrived in Chicago, a significant number of whom are from Venezuela. The provision of social services to these newcomers has heightened tensions, as some local residents feel that these resources should support existing community members.

The displacement of long-term residents by immigrants has become a concern in Chicago and other areas such as Springfield, Ohio. In Springfield, immigrants, often supported by taxpayer dollars, sometimes pay rent that local residents cannot afford.

Chicago is about to go up in flames like a war zone.
