Principal of Pasir Puteh Integrated School GISBH detained for five days

KUALA CRAYON — A principal of an integrated school has been detained for five days from today to assist with investigations into GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH).

The 66-year-old man’s pre-trial detention order was issued by Magistrate Amal Razim Alias.

The school principal is under investigation under section 8(2) of the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984.

He was arrested at 11am yesterday near a food outlet in Pasir Puteh following a police operation at Sekolah Rendah Integrasi Ikhwan, where 34 banned books about Al-Arqam founder Ashaari Muhammad were seized. — BERNAMA
