Yudhra, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, Malavika Mohanan, Raghav Juyal and Ram Kapoor in pivotal roles, failed to strike the right chord with the audience. Curtain Falls on Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Yudhra at Rs 13 Crore Worldwide

Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the stylish action drama failed to lure the audience at the box office. The long-delayed film finally released in theatres on National Cinema Day, where it benefited from reduced ticket prices and cracked an opening of Rs 4.25 crore nett in India. However, it failed to grow further and managed to collect just Rs 7.50 crore in its first weekend, while suffering significant declines.

Moreover, the film failed to show any traction on weekdays and struggled to remain stable. Yudhra’s total box office gross in India currently stands at Rs 9.35 crore nett. Unfortunately, the action drama ends its theatrical run with Rs 10 crore nett (Rs 12 crore gross) at the Indian box office.

Besides the poor performance in the domestic market, the Siddhant Chaturvedi film failed to attract a single overseas audience. The action film managed to gross USD 125,000 overseas, a mere Rs 1.05 crore in Indian currency.

What went wrong with Yudhra?

Yudhra is a victim of a delayed release, which almost wiped out all the buzz that Siddhant Chaturvedi earned after winning hearts in Gully Boy. Moreover, the makers failed to generate curiosity among the audience with their promotional tools and marketing campaign. All these reasons would have been meaningless if it was a well-made film in terms of content. But the film opened with mixed to negative word of mouth, which almost limited its potential at the box office.

Yudhra is a box office flop but the makers have not lost any money on it. They have already made a good non-theatrical deal with OTT and music players. Though Excel Entertainment may not make any profit from it, they have definitely earned back their budget.

The Day Wise Net India collections from Yudhra are as follows:
