Livelihood Appoints New CEO, Iconoclast Acquires Eve Catalog & More

Livelihood Music Company has brought in a three-time Grammy-nominated hitmaker Ali Tamposi as principal. In this role she will join other songwriters JKash And Michael Pollack at the helm of the new independent music publisher. Tamposi has written some of the biggest pop hits of the 21st century, including Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You),” Camila Cabello’s “Havana,” Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s “Señorita,” Justin Bieber and DJ Snake’s “Let Me Love You,” Selena Gomez and Kygo’s “It Ain’t Me,” 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Youngblood,” and Dua Lipa’s “Break My Heart.” “I’m thrilled to join Livelihood Music Company and expand my scope into the role of publisher,” said Tamposi. “This new role is a perfect blend of my two greatest passions — songwriting and motherhood — both of which require constant nurturing and selfless dedication.”

Prescription songs has signed a Grammy-winning producer/writer Tobias Wincorn to a worldwide publishing deal. Wincorn’s many credits include works released by Fred again.., Missy Elliott, Lizzo, Swedish House Mafia, Fridayy, Jack Harlow, Shenseea, Megan Thee Stallion and more. He most frequently collaborates with Fred again.., Timbaland and Murda Beatz. In addition to his work in the studio, he has also previously worked as an A&R consultant for Crush Music, Seeker Music and Hipgnosis Songs Group.

Killphonic rightsan LA-based rights management company, has partnered with Stilwell Creative Capital. Stilwell is investing $3 million in working capital for a proportional stake in Killphonic. The funds will be used to expand services for the company’s growing roster of artists, writers, labels and publishers.

Warner Chappell Music UK has signed Will Manning to a worldwide publishing deal. Manning, an award-winning broadcaster, producer and songwriter, was a DJ for stations including KISS FM, BBC 1xtra, The Hits, Capital FM before signing a record deal with RCA last year. He now releases his own music and co-writes with others, including work on BI3ss’ dance banger “Kisses.”

The APIs include a one-click direct PRO registration for unaffiliated creators from within a platform, authentication of songwriter profiles and account information, access to detailed song-level metadata, the ability to display songwriter credits to end users, and immediate release of performance rights.
