WORKING SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) activities within MedGlobal. This role includes designing and managing data collection tools, ensuring accurate and timely data reporting, and supporting the analysis of data to improve program effectiveness. The candidate will work closely with field teams to gather information, design surveys, and use platforms such as KoBo Toolbox for data collection. Furthermore, they will ensure compliance with humanitarian standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoring and evaluation processes. The role requires native Arabic speakers, with a basic understanding of English, and experience working with Microsoft Office applications and data collection tools.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collecting data related to the implementation of project activities and performance indicators and entering them through approved forms and databases.
  • Carrying out field visits to monitor the implementation of project activities based on the monitoring and evaluation plan.
  • Assist in the design of questionnaires and forms for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
  • Monitoring the application of accountability standards in projects.
  • Collecting data and conducting interviews with various beneficiaries and stakeholders to verify satisfaction and follow up on resolution of beneficiary complaints.
  • Assist in assessing needs by conducting a field survey during the project design period.
  • Prepare periodic monitoring and evaluation reports and send them to the Monitoring and Evaluation Senior Officer.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the accountability mechanism towards the beneficiaries, along with direct supervision of the hotline, by analyzing the complaints of beneficiaries and submitting suggestions and solutions for improving the work and activities in the field to the MEAL Senior Officer and ensure the follow-up of actions to improve the beneficiaries. be taken.
  • Collecting learning information and lessons learned from the project implementation and sharing them with the MEAL Senior Officer.
  • Review data and verify its quality.
  • Hold periodic meetings with field teams within the project to discuss difficulties, obstacles and performance level to improve the performance level.
  • Create a database for reports and all files related to the project and archive them to facilitate access to them at any time.
  • Follow up on the work and results of data entry officers in the office and in the target governorates and follow up on all project data and reports, review them and verify their accuracy and validity.
  • Assist in analyzing data and documenting success cases.
  • Participate in the continuous development of the quality of work in MedGlobal.
  • Encouraging and promoting a culture of positivity, professionalism and respect in the workplace.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the direct manager in the context of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

The MEAL Officer must have the following skills, training and experience:

  • University degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
  • Native proficiency in Arabic with basic knowledge of English.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL).
  • Strong proficiency in using Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Experience designing surveys.
  • Proficient in using Kobo Toolbox or ODK with relevant experience.
  • Team player with a collegial spirit.
  • Proven experience designing and analyzing data collection tools.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to humanitarian standards.
