Catskill man charged with possession of child pornography

State police have arrested a Catskill man on child pornography charges.

Giovanni Fascella, 57, is accused of possessing images indicative of child sexual exploitation. His arrest on September 24 followed a search of his former residence in Coeymans in May 2022, police said.

Facella was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was arraigned in Coeymans Town Court and sent to the Albany County Jail without bail.
