The Abortion Pill Cartel is bypassing all state pro-life laws

Violence, crime and drug-related deaths in the US have been on the rise for a while thanks to Mexican drug cartels, but a new report reveals that a different kind of cartel is flooding the US with a different kind of drug: abortion pills.

A new in-depth study called “Beneath the Surface: Exposing the Abortion Pill Drug Cartel,” published by the American Life League (ALL), delves into how abortion pill companies ship the deadly drugs to states with strict pro-life laws. The American Life League noted: “To the casual observer, this pill network is modeled after the drug cartel, creating an abortion pill crisis on par with our country’s narcotics crisis.”

The abortion pill cartel uses “community partner networks,” groups of volunteers who help women in the U.S. order abortion pills from abroad and then ship those drugs. These community partner networks encourage women to request abortion pills through secure networks and unhackable email accounts to avoid prosecution.

A Mexico-based community partner network even told women, “To be safe, delete messages and emails about your abortion from your phone.” The group even told women that if they were bleeding after their chemical abortion, they should go to the emergency room and claim they were having a miscarriage. “Do not reveal that you have taken abortion drugs; they have absolutely no way of knowing. The pills will not show up in blood tests or scans,” the group of women warned. “This also applies to interactions or consultations with your doctor or gynecologist: you do not have to tell them that your miscarriage was self-inflicted.”

Community affiliate networks also provide women with instructions on how to conceal their search and request for abortion pills online. Some advice includes using untraceable VPNs, end-to-end encryption of messaging apps, using specific browsers that don’t store or share data, and clearing internet history regularly. Women are even advised to wear disguises or cover their faces with sunglasses, a hat or hoodie and a face mask when visiting abortion centers. Other community partner networks help underage girls avoid state laws that require parental consent or notification, and offer a “resource guide” on how to get abortion pills without parents finding out.

The American Life League pointed out that the FDA’s 2023 decision to allow abortion pills to be administered by mail, rather than requiring them to be administered in person at certified facilities, makes it all the more difficult to expand the to prevent the abortion pill cartel. . “The FDA’s 2023 ruling to permanently allow the mailing of abortion pills has opened the floodgates for doctors to prescribe abortion pills everywhere,” ALL noted. “To obtain the abortion pills via telemedicine, women must complete a video or online form consultation with an abortion doctor, who then prescribes the pills and sends them to the woman.”

In addition to the in-person abortion facilities, pharmacies and tele-abortions operated by American abortion companies, ALLEN noted that the abortion pill cartel is thriving on the Internet. One of the community partner networks, called Plan C, explained: “Pill selling websites are e-commerce websites that sell and ship pills to addresses in all US states. They do not require a prescription for the medications, do not require you to upload your ID, and do not provide any medical consultation or support of any kind.

ALL found that most websites recommended by Plan C and other community partner networks sell generic abortion pills or off-brand abortion pills that are not regulated by the FDA. “This means that anyone without identification and a prescription can order these pills from an online retailer for use on themselves or on pregnant women,” the report said. ALLEN continued: “Because the abortion pills supplied by online sellers have not been inspected or approved by the FDA, no one can know for sure what the pills contain, how they will affect the mother’s health, or even where the origin of the abortion pills can be found. are traced. .” The FDA has done little to regulate the abortion pill market, instead merely recommending that women not order the deadly drugs from non-FDA-approved sources.

“The abortion pill drug cartel is alive and well, especially in so-called ‘abortion-free’ states. These networks aim to teach vulnerable women how to obtain these pills secretly. These community networks are working to distribute the pills across our country’s borders, right under the noses of federal agencies,” ALL summarized. The group pointed out that abortion pills have been used to drug women and also to cover up evidence of rape.

“Abortion regulations are useless in ending this problem. By using arbitrary numbers and setting limits on when a baby can be killed in the womb, we continue to waste time in the fight to protect all newborn children from abortion,” ALL said. The group continued: “The horrifying reality we face is that while in-person clinics may not be able to perform abortions depending on conditions in different states, women can still obtain abortions without leaving their homes through the abortion pill , despite their state rules.” The sobering report concluded:

“This report is proof that the claim of an abortion-free state, or a pro-life state, is a myth. As long as the abortion pill regimen continues to be smuggled across our country’s borders into states with severe restrictions, abortion rates will continue to rise. And since there is no mandatory reporting, we remain in the dark about how many women’s and children’s lives are being claimed by the abortion pill crisis.”
