Begusarai: 6 policemen injured in liquor mafia attack in Bihar, 5 arrested

Begusarai, September 29: Six policemen were injured in Begusarai district of Bihar when they were attacked by supporters of people allegedly involved in manufacturing of country-made liquor, officials said. The clash took place during a police raid late on Saturday evening in Bahadapur Mushari Tola town, targeting illegal liquor production, they added.

Among the injured were Station House Officer (SHO) Abhishekh Kumar and Sub-Inspector Ravishankar Kumar. Additional police units were dispatched to restore order and the injured officers were taken to a nearby hospital where they were reported to be in stable condition. “When the officers arrived, supporters of the suspects started pelting stones at them, injuring six police officers. By the time additional police units arrived from nearby stations, they were able to bring the situation under control.
